Moscow-born Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg presents a night of ballet music, reimagined for the piano. Standing in a league of his own, Giltburg couples radiant virtuosity with a tranquil focus in every performance. His acclaimed discography has earned several prestigious honors, including an Opus Klassik, a Diapason d’Or, and a Gramophone Award, while his most recent project—a celebrated series of Rachmaninov recordings—was honoured with the 2025 German Record Critics’ Award.
In this recital, Giltburg transforms iconic ballet masterpieces, scaling the grandeur of a full orchestra down to the profound intimacy of a solo piano. Featuring the majestic dances by Prokofiev, Ravel and Rachmaninov, this night promises a spellbinding showcase by a true master.
Boris Giltburg performed at our first live, post-pandemic Festival in 2023, brilliantly stepping in at the last minute as the replacement, leaving both audiences and critics spellbound.
