Elements of Freestyle – Creative Movement Workshop for Children

EVENT DESCRIPTION

On Saturday 29 June, choreographer Marco Gerris, Artistic Director of ISH Dance Collective in the Netherlands, leads a fun creative movement workshop inspired by the practices used by his troupe in the creation of the performance Elements of Freestyle.

Designed for children aged 9 to 12, the session introduces a selection of movements used in street dance, hip-hop and break dance and helps participants explore how to use their bodies in their own creative ways. Sharing some of the ISH Dance Collective’s methods and philosophies, Gerris provides tips on how participants can develop their own personal dance style and moves.

This workshop requires no experience or special abilities – just a passion for getting creative with street dance moves.
