Winter is coming!
Besides the long-awaited Nutcracker by Hong Kong Ballet, set in Hong Kong in the early 20th century, the city offers a plethora of events to start the Festive Season.
From Christmas street markets to music concerts and circus performances, everyone will get a taste of what they like.

WHITE CHRISTMAS STREET FAIR 2022
For this popular community event, Tong Chong Street will be transformed into an unforgettable festive garden with life-sized attractions offering visitors heart-warming moments and Christmas fun, supporting and raising funds for Operation Santa Claus.
1-4 Dec – Taikoo Place
“CHEERS!” SERIES: THE SNOW QUEEN
The Snow Queen by the Scottish Ballet is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale. A sparkling cast of characters will tell a story of love and friendship through elegant dance performance, sharing the joyful and festive atmosphere of winter with adults and kids.
11 Dec – Hong Kong City Hall
DISNEY IN CONCERT SPOTLIGHT EDITION
This world premiere will delight audiences with timeless musical scores from the most loved Disney animated feature films, including songs from Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Moana, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, The Lion King, Frozen, and many more.
10 & 11 Dec – Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC)
This much-anticipated annual festive extravaganza is a fantastical celebration of Hong Kong in the early 20th century, where the Christmas Eve adventure begins at a lively party in an opulent gilded mansion where young Clara receives a special Nutcracker as a gift.
16-31 Dec – Hong Kong Cultural Centre
RAINING PETALS — AN ORCHESTRAL RE-IMAGINING
Based on the classic Floral Princess created by Tong Tik-sang, this brand new orchestral is complemented by the on-screen interpretation by renowned acting duo Yam Kim-fai and Pak Suet-sin, with Lio Kuokman conducting the HK Phil in this world premiere.
23 & 24 Dec – Hong Kong Cultural Centre
Tai Kwun will transform into a glorious festive destination, with a giant Christmas tree accompanied every evening by a dazzling light show. During the month, there will be an array of circus performances, Christmas music concerts, and hidden treats that will create a unique festive atmosphere.
1 Dec-2 Jan 2023 – Tai Kwun
More than 20 emerging local artists and singer-songwriters will perform at K11 Art Mall Piazza, in partnership with local music power Daymaker Creatives and TONE MUSIC. There will also be music exhibitions, Christmas market and pop up stores.

For their traditional New Year concert, HK Phil will offer a joyful and exuberant programme of enchanting dance music from Johann Strauss II, Kreisler and Richard Strauss, preceded by overtures by Berlioz and Tchaikovsky.
