LUIS CHAN: HONG KONG MAGIC

The exhibition features Hong Kong sceneries painted by legendary artist Luis Chan (1905-1995), whose artworks are a reflection of the evolution of Hong Kong in the 20th century. It shows how enamoured Chan was with the city and his sense of belonging.

For this project, French-Hong Kong-based photographer Cyril Delettre invited random people to pose for him freely. The photographer was just here to press the button and the model had full control. A portrait of the young generation in Hong Kong, proud to be who they are.

CHOW CHUN FAI: ALWAYS AFTER FUTURE

In this second chapter of his Tarot series, local artist Chow Chun Fai continues to incorporate Hong Kong scenery, classic Hong Kong film scenes and elements of popular culture into the world of Tarot. Consistent with his playful and ironic interpretation, he expresses the emotions and impact this city has brought him.

FACTORY OF TOMORROW – CHAT 5th ANNIVERSARY

The exhibition is in the genealogy of CHAT’s curatorial journey over the last 5 years. From textile works and sculptures to immersive installations and videos, it brings together creations by 19 artists and collectives of Asian backgrounds, reflecting their takes on textile technology and materials, diversity, climate change and future.

AFONG PHOTOGRAPHER: VIEWS OF HONG KONG 1870s-1890s

This marks the first exhibition solely dedicated to the famous Lai Fong, one of the earliest Chinese photographers in Hong Kong, whose studio ‘Afong Photographer’, established in 1870, was the most successful photographic studio in the city before the Second World War.

HENRY STEINER: THE ART OF GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION

Henry Steiner is the father of graphic design in Hong Kong, he designed the logo for HSBC, the banknotes for Standard Chartered Bank, and logos for many renowned Hong Kong-based companies. The exhibition celebrates Steiner’s influential graphic language with a selection of some of his most iconic projects tracing Hong Kong’s development for more than sixty years.

TETSUMI KUDO: CAGES

This exhibition brings together a selection of signature cages by post-war Japanese artist Tetsumi Kudo (1935-1990), for the first time in Greater China. These cages are meant to encourage viewers to understand themselves as part of an intricate cosmos in which nature, technology, and humanity influence each other.

A PASSION FOR SILK: THE ROAD FROM CHINA TO EUROPE
