THE BUTTERFLY LOVERS

A legendary Chinese folktale reimagined. With a sweeping original score by acclaimed Chinese composer Tian Mi in collaboration with Macao Orchestra under the leadership of Lio Kuokman, this powerful tale of forbidden love and filial duty is a glorious fusion of inspiring dance, contemporary Chinese aesthetics and eternal hope.

HKT x WESTK POPFEST 2024

The second edition of POPFEST presents a stellar line-up of pop talent, featuring local idols and groups including Anson Lo from MIRROR, COLLAR, Jeffrey Ngai, Phoebus from P1X3L and Yan Ting, as well as popular overseas artists including Jorja Smith, MONDO GROSSO, Hikari Mitsushima, Colde and SHOU. VOICES OF THE WALL

The exhibition explores the history and culture of the infamous Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong through photographs by Ian Lambot, Greg Girard, Bianca Tse and Keeping Lee. Photographs serve as a vital medium for archiving collective memory and preserving heritage, particularly for places that will eventually disappear.

CZECH CLASSICS

“In music is the life of the Czechs.” Two outstanding interpreters of the Czech repertoire – oboist Vilém Veverka and harpist Kateřina Englichová – join the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and guest conductor Sharon Andrea Choa for a concert to mark the Year of Czech Music.

ASIA ART ARCHIVE’S ANNUAL FUNDRAISER EXHIBITION

Featuring an auction of over 50 works donated by artists, galleries, and individuals, the fundraiser event supports a crucial milestone for the organisation: building a premier digital archiving facility and training future archivists, enabling Asia Art Archive to provide free public access to resources on the histories of contemporary art in Asia.
