Clockenflap Music Festival is back at Central Harbourfront from 1 to 3 December with a line up including US hip-hop legends De La Soul, British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan, New Zealand indie-rockers The Beths, Japanese rising superstar Joji, as well as Hong Kong-based all-girl band Whizz and singer-songwriter mansonvibes.
Founded in 2008, the festival has played a pioneering role in nurturing the Hong Kong indie and alternative music scenes, as well as bringing international talents to the city.
The first Clockenflap in 2008 was held in a concrete public space in an empty housing development in Cyberport, in front of 1500 attendees. In 2011, it expanded to the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, and in 2018, the festival moved to Central Harbourfront.
After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Clockenflap came back in March 2023. Continuing its success, the festival will offer once again in December 2023 a deep dive into contemporary music, from hip hop to alternative rock and indie pop.
