Knowledge is just a click away in today’s digital world.  The focus of education has shifted from delivering bundles of knowledge to inspiring and empowering students to learn.  Education institutes, ranging from primary schools to universities, are increasingly using design thinking as a student-centred pedagogy to motivate learning, improve problem solving skills and foster collaboration.

A series of customised workshops for educators will be held in upcoming Learning & Teaching Expo 2021 on 8th December, Wednesday.  These workshops aim to broadening the understanding and application of design thinking in different teaching aspects.

Workshop 1 (10:20-11:10) – When Playing is Learning: Integrating Play into Education with Design Thinking

Workshop 2 (11:20-12:20) – Hack Your Way from Traditional Learning to Project-Based Learning

Workshop 3 (12:30-13:20) – Applying Design Thinking: Identify Needs with Empathy

Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) is a non-governmental organisation, and was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as an international centre of design excellence in Asia. Our public mission is to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to create business value and improve societal well-being, with the aim of advancing Hong Kong as an international design centre in Asia.
