EVENT DESCRIPTION
To promote Hong Kong’s digital art scene, Samsung Electronics H.K. Co., Ltd. has again partnered with SHOUT Art Hub & Gallery, a contemporary pop art gallery in Hong Kong, to present The Frame Digital Art Gala II, unveiling a new chapter of diverse digital art by local and international artists. Unlike traditional galleries, The Frame Digital Art Gala is strategically located at the bustling Hysan Place in Causeway Bay and aims to promote local art and cultural exchange by making art more accessible to the public, deepening local art and aesthetic exchanges.
Exhibition Highlight: A collection of single art pieces with a one-stop art collection solution
All digital artworks are unique and come with a certificate signed by the artist. Therefore, each piece is owned exclusively by one collector – each artwork is the one and only. With 40 single artworks in the first season of The Frame Digital Art Gala, an additional 33 works are introduced in the second phase.
Another key feature of the exhibition is the one-stop display solution – the art piece will be delivered to your home, along with the new Samsung The Frame 2022 matte screen TV, which is anti-glare, anti-reflective, and anti-fingerprint, significantly enhancing the art viewing experience and saving collectors the trouble of finding the right display. The Frame can also be matched with magnetic frames of different styles to make each artwork more reflective of its character.

ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER
Szabotage, Street artist – One of the first few NFT artists in Hong Kong. He has collaborated with renowned international brands like Prada and Louis Vuitton. Settled in Hong Kong from the UK nine years ago, Szabotage works as an interior designer whilst practising street art in his spare time. His works are internationally acclaimed, with his iconic koi graffiti being one of the most recognisable works that many have spotted in the streets of Hong Kong. In this exhibition, he has digitally rendered a number of his graffiti works and assembled them into a stunning mural called “Samsung The Frame Wall”, which captures different aspects of Hong Kong, including the winding highways, the dense skyscrapers, the lush mountains and rocks, the disappearing Star Ferry, Hong Kong's unique 'Black Rainstorm Warning', the odd toilet signs in public toilets, and many more. The bold and vibrant colours of the mural, combined with sci-fi elements, are reminiscent of the neon lights of the bustling city, taking audiences on an adventuresome journey.Wing Chan, Photographer - Graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 1985 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, his works have been exhibited in Singapore, France, Korea and Thailand. He enjoys wandering the streets of Hong Kong capturing a multitude of photographs, and much of his work in this exhibition is inspired by the concept of urban space - a pile of images of forgotten buildings, businesses and ruins in a busy city, pieced together into a strong and abstract montage of digital photography.
Clayton Chau and Wing Lo, Illustrators - Veteran film and advertising illustrators and co-founders of Lolohoihoi Design Studio. In this exhibition, Clayton and Wing present a series of stories about the travels of two girls, Lolo and Hoihoi, which convey the heartfelt message that "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light". In their exhibited works, different places are showcased through a vibrant palette, in a fusion of realism and fantasy. It relieves audience’s itching sense of wanderlust, especially for those who have not been able to go travelling for a while.
Eric Chow, Hong Kong-based illustrator - After graduating from the University of the Arts in London, Eric Chow returned to Hong Kong where he founded his own studio, working with a wide range of internationally renowned media. He has a knack for incorporating surrealism and humour into his work. The Fattie series, his first foray into toy design, features Jeff, a chubby hamburger-shaped man whose love for sports is easily overridden by his adoration for hamburgers, depicting mankind’s neverending conflict – constantly torn between food obsession and conventional beauty standards.
LeonLollipop, Hong Kong-based artist and illustrator - Known for his mural Gloomie the cat with cheeks, Leon is a graduate of Central Saint Martin's College of Art in London, and the award-winning artist has exhibited his work in various international exhibitions. He constantly instills different elements and faces in his artworks – he once painted a mural on the exterior wall of a coffee shop in Hong Kong and another time created a 3D vinyl sculpture. This time, he brings to the exhibition a series of digital artworks featuring cheeky cats, with vivid expressions and cute attires, putting a smile on people’s faces.
