Romer String Quartet Family Concert

Known for their virtuosic performances, the quartet has curated a family programme that takes children on a journey through time, exploring the development of chamber music from different musical eras and styles. Discover the rich texture of this intimate form of music by listening to masterworks by great composers like Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms, as well as modern works by tango master Piazzolla. ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER

The Romer String Quartet is a local ensemble formed by musicians born and raised in Hong Kong. Recognised as the pre-eminent string quartet in Hong Kong since their debut in 2013, the quartet has been invited to perform at some of the most prestigious venues around the world, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, Tokyo’s Toppan Hall and Shanghai Concert Hall. Since 2019, Romer is Quartet-in-Residence with Premiere Performances and developed their Chamber Music in Schools programme with the support of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. They have also performed at various festivals including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong World Cultures Festival, Beare’s Premiere Music Festival, Hong Kong Freespace Fest, and Taiwan Hong Kong Week. The quartet has also taken part in various local and overseas projects engaged by the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Radio Television Hong Kong, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Hong Kong Composers’ Guild, Hong Kong Art Museum, Tai Kwun and many more.
