Reinhold Friedrich: A Brass Celebration

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Reinhold Friedrich, born in Weingarten/Baden, has been at home on the world’s most prestigious stages since his celebrated success at the ARD Competition 1986. He is Principal Trumpet of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra (2003–present) and Artistic Director of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra Brass Ensemble. He serves as Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, holds honorary professorships at the London Royal Academy of Music and the Sibelius Academy, and occupies the Trumpet Chair at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. In 1986 he was awarded Second Prize at the ARD International Music Competition.
