Ralf Otto | Handel/Mozart Messiah

20 December - 21 December

$50 – $420

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Programme
HANDEL (arr. MOZART)|Messiah

Hallelujah! Imagine all the joy, all the melody and all the majesty of Handel’s Messiah, performed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus and four world-class soloists. Now imagine if one of music history’s greatest geniuses gave it a makeover. Mozart loved Messiah and created a German-language version of Handel’s masterpiece. Come hear the differences for yourself – from “Ev’ry valley” and “The trumpet shall sound” to the legendary “Hallelujah” chorus itself, the oratorio has never sounded more inspiring.

The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes without an intermission.
