Q9 Capital is pleased to announce its next collaboration with Digital Art Fair Asia (DAFA).

Of Nods and Nodes is a physical showcase of Non-Fungible Tokens (‘NFTs’) featuring DAFA’s new as well as returning artists. Taking place at the Q9 Crypto Hub, the exhibition runs from 23rd February to 19th March, with featured artists present during VIP sessions.

Of Nods and Nodes follows the success of DAFA’s initial 2021 edition that welcomed 25,000 visitors – the first-ever physical fair of its kind focusing on the immersive art experience, new media art and NFT Art. In the same spirit, the current exhibition is a platform where more exciting artworks can be showcased, featuring two returning artists as well as an array of new ones. Through the exciting new partnership with Q9 Capital, DAFA hopes to reach out to every demographic that wishes to appreciate, create, and collect digital and NFT art, embracing digital technology in a constantly evolving generation.

Audiences will no doubt be familiar with the works of Derry Ainsworth and Nick Teeple, two Hong Kong-based artists who had previously exhibited at DAFA 2021. While Ainsworth’s works encapsulate his multi-disciplinary practice, with each piece representing his personal concept and signature style, Teeple weaves together cutting-edge technologies to produce mesmerising pieces that are glossy, kaleidoscopic and meditative. The show also introduces the works of Rain Chan and Jonathan Liu – NFTs that are inspired by digital technology (such as VR, AR, and AI) and photography respectively.

As a highlight of the exhibition, dynamic and vibrant works by renowned digital artist, Refik Anadol, are also presented. Known for using technology-driven machine learning algorithms to produce abstract and surreal dreamscapes, the artist invites you to plunge into his vibrant and flavourful world of colour bursts and moving biomorphic forms.

As non-interchangeable units of data stored on the blockchain, NFTs assure unique signature and ownership, and have grown to be a significant sector in the art industry, increasingly collected by connoisseurs, aficionados, and novice collectors alike.
