Starting from 22 September, the Avenue of Stars and K11 MUSEA will co-host its first-ever cultural waterfront market – “Night Market by The Sea” – throughout four consecutive Friday and Saturday nights to drive the city’s nighttime economy. The open-air market offers diversified local and ethnic fermented handicrafts and specialty drinks produced by 30 local brands. Moreover, with the first-ever exhibition of emerging female artist Ziping Wang within the premises and the exclusive AZUKI NFT pop-up experience at K11 MUSEA CEMENT, the group believes that these events will bring unparalleled cultural shopping experience to citizens and tourists.
Cultural waterfront market and art exhibitions guide visitors on a journey of imagination
On the occasion of the first Golden Week and Mid-Autumn Festival following the border reopening, K11 MUSEA will host the promotional campaign “Night at MUSEA” from early evening until late night, headlined by the captivating “Night Market by The Sea” co-organised with AOS Management Limited. Supported by FTLife Insurance, Kronenbourg 1664 and Hong Kong Markets Organisation, and Yau Tsim Mong District Office as supporting organisation, the vibrant night market pays tribute to the local film industry and its talented professionals, and have live musical performances of iconic movie songs. The market boasts a wide range of local brands, including Explicit Spices, which offers versatile sauces, Sifu Good Tea, which sells signature truffle honey Hong Kong-style milk tea, and No Paper Studio, which specializes in nostalgic film posters and illustrations.
The bustling market will welcome locals and visitors from 5pm until 11pm, offering them an opportunity to bask in the alluring ambiance of the night market while reminiscing about the illustrious achievements of Hong Kong’s renowned film industry. In addition, MCL Cinema at K11 Art House will present a series of Hong Kong classic films, perfectly complementing the live musical performances of iconic movie songs filling the air along the Avenue of Stars.
Meanwhile, Galerie Marguo presents the latest solo exhibition of emerging Chinese female artist Wang Ziping titled “Traces of Love and Timeless Adventure.” On full display at K11 MUSEA from 22 September to 10 October, this exhibition marks Wang Ziping’s debut solo show in the city. The showcase features a collection of new sketches, sculptures, and sculptural works.
From 13 to 15 September, blockchain startup Co-Museum partners with Web 3.0 visionary LASTKNIGHT to host an AZUKI NFT pop-up at CEMENT in MUSE EDITION. The event features the exhibition of “Artifact 001: The Golden Skateboard,” a 24K gold skateboard personally autographed by legendary American skateboarder Tony Hawk. To celebrate the significant milestone of Co-Museum’s introduction of the latest NFT technology, the brand collaborated with YOON AHN, the creative mind behind renowned Japanese streetwear brand AMBUSH®️, to launch an exclusive limited-edition hoodie which debuts exclusively at the CEMENT.
