To celebrate Hong Kong Art Month, Pacific Place is proud to unveil a set of vibrant public installations by Zurich-based artist Monster Chetwynd inside the mall.
Celebrating its third year as the sole offsite venue for the Encounters project for Art Basel Hong Kong, Pacific Place presents Monster Chetwynd’s first public installation in Hong Kong. The installation centres around three monumental lanternfly sculptures, creatures native to the woodlands of Hong Kong, resting on lily pads inspired by Chetwynd’s collages. At scheduled times, the installation comes alive with dancers performing a specially created choreography that mirrors the evolving nature of the lanternflies.
