EVENT DESCRIPTION

Midori is an intimate Hong Kong electronic music festival presented by event outfits Y2K and Omni Agency. A part of the wave of boutique electronic music events emerging around Asia, Midori returns bigger and better this October after a successful debut in May this year.

This multifaceted event will take place during the Chung Yeung Festival long weekend (October 11-13), staged over three days and two nights at a spectacular private rural location hidden in a beautiful valley.

Midori features an A-list selection of Hong Kong house, techno and bass music DJs. From the popular house music collectives Spin Sum and Surprise Surprise and techno crews Abyss and Slimefest, to the bass music bosses Yeti Out and Dark Metaz, Midori provides a meeting place for the leading figures in the city’s electronic music movement. The festival also serves as a visual and sensory experience courtesy of next-level lighting and laser engineering by Greenlight Lighting and festival decoration by Point Of You Design.

More than just an electronic music event, Midori is also a celebration of our city’s spectacular natural environment and our unique culture, as well as the diverse people who make Hong Kong great. This side of Midori is expressed in our top-quality local F&B brands and market stalls, along with our workshops on varied topics such as music production, foraging for wild food and even rice cultivation, all spread over an unspoiled and culturally significant location.
