EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Guy Delisle Exhibition at Hong Kong Central Library showcases of one of the most acclaimed contemporary graphic novelists. Running throughout March 2026 (from March 1 to March 29), this major exhibition is a highlight of the Francophonie Festival 2026, where Canadian author and illustrator Guy Delisle serves as a Guest of Honour.
Presented trilingually in English, traditional Chinese, and French, the exhibition delves into Delisle’s distinctive approach to visual storytelling. It traces his evolution from his early career in animation to international recognition as a master of graphic nonfiction. Visitors can explore original artwork, sketches, plates, and selected excerpts from his celebrated books, including observational travelogues like Pyongyang, Shenzhen, Burma Chronicles, and Jerusalem, which blend sharp humor, cultural insight, and personal reflection on life in politically complex or everyday settings.
