EVENT DESCRIPTION

American violinist Kevin Zhu is renowned for his absolute virtuosity, almost blinding in its incredible purity, as described by L’ape musicale. He won first prize at the Paganini Competition in 2018 and fourth prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2024, and he was the recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2021. He has performed at distinguished venues including the Konzerthaus Berlin, London’s Royal Festival Hall, the Kennedy Center, BOZAR Brussels, and the Esplanade Concert Hall, among others.

Adrian Wong is a composer whose past commissions include works for the Curtis Institute of Music, the Samos Young Artists Festival, the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, NOĒMA, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. He has received fellowships and awards from the American Prize, the RED NOTE New Music Festival Composition Competition, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His compositions have been performed in concerts across Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Tokyo, Paris, Italy, London, Boston, and Chicago, among other locations.
