GDEe:Elysium, A New Odyssey concert

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble’s electronic team “GDEe” will combine Chinese music with electronic music, presenting stories of the past through futuristic soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from ancient legends, the ensemble seeks a forward-looking vision as it embarks on a new journey.

Past inspires. Future sparks.

This is a musical expedition; an aesthetic expedition, and a civilizational one as well. Setting out from Dunhuang, we move along the fissures of its murals; we travel with the gaze of Maijishan, the totems of Sanxingdui, and the legends of the Han, and together we enter the Realm of Neon Resonance. Each artifact is a small expeditionary unit; each convergence of instruments is a phase of calibration; each breath is a moment that spans a thousand years. The journey continues, extending toward Elysium.
