Entering the 12th year of Swire Properties’ partnership with Art Basel Hong Kong, Pacific Place is honoured to once again host the only offsite project from the Encounters with the major debut of Doan, by First Nations Australian artist Daniel Boyd from 21 March to 7 April. Employing dots as both a visual and conceptual element, Doan invites visitors to explore themes of identity, memory, perception, and history.

Daniel Boyd’s three-part installation includes a newly created moving image work, mirrored stage floor and window treatment which plays on the movement of light throughout the day. Doan is a multifaceted invitation for audiences to reconsider the individual and collective ways we view an ever-evolving idea of the past, present, and future. The artwork is presented by Kukje Gallery (Seoul, Busan) and Station (Melbourne, Sydney) and supported by Swire Properties, Art Basel’s Official Partner of offsite Encounters.
