EVENT DESCRIPTION
Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association presents the Cultural Leadership Summit – Spin-off Event. The half day seminar will be held on 10 November 2021. Despite the easing of the recent COVID-19 situation, the event will be a hybrid event to align with the government’s proactive measures.
Global fallout from the pandemic has upended most of our usual business models and also changed the audience behaviour in many ways. Arts managers would need to seek for positive market strategies yet to balance artistic excellence. In order to reach out more netizens, expand our audiences through the virtual space, many of us strive to look for methods to present the performance or event as a hybrid. Managers often ask about the budget and operational concerns, how we should resolve the technical issues, for example the latency problems. HKAAA is actively seeking for conversations to help and promote the arts development with the latest trends and information sharing.
In November, HKAAA will hold a half-day seminar as the Summit Spin-off event. Representatives and experts will introduce the ticketing and production aspects for operating the hybrid event, as well as sharing from different telecommunications vendors in applying the 5G technology in the arts scene.
We invited renowned local guest speakers for spin-off event, including:
● Mr Phoebus Chan, Founder & Executive Director, PA House Asia Limited
● Mr Daniel Leung, Head of Business Markets, SmarTone
● Mr Ivan Lam, Director of Strategy, Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute
● Ms Jess Mak, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Market, 3 Hong Kong
● Mr Wilson Tang, Co-founder, POPTicket
● Mr Sidney Tsan, Head of Market & Competition Division, Office of the Communications Authority
