BNP Paribas Wealth Management Proudly Sponsors: Classics from the 18th Century

11 June 2027 - 12 June 2027

$220 – $520

EVENT DESCRIPTION

A beautifully designed programme celebrating the brilliance of 18th century classical music and the artistry of HK Phil Principals. Benjamin Moermond shines in Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto in A minor, in partnership with conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi – a “Vivaldian of the highest order” (Le (Mon)de). The programme begins with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 2, which spotlights trumpeter Nitiphum Bamrungbanthum with colleagues Jing Wang, Megan Sterling and Michael Wilson. After Handel’s splendid Water Music, the concert culminates in Mozart’s exemplary Final Symphony – the pinnacle of the Classical symphonic tradition, whose finale dazzles as a contrapuntal tour de force inspired by Bach and Handel.
