Cheer Bell Gallery is glad to announce our collaboration exhibition “Art on Screen” with La broderie.

Not only will this exhibition showcase artist Christina Tung’s feather series and earlier works, but it will also present collaborative art pieces made on canvases of prime grade cowhide leather – “Art on Screen” series by Christina and embroidery craftsman Master Cheng. This series features a collaborative effort with Christina’s signature feather figure and Master Cheng’s embroidery handcrafts. Through this series, Christina hopes for viewers to be more mindful while scrolling through our phones and the effect it could have on people or even things happening around us.

Let’s put down our phones and take in a moment of reflection. Reconnect and live in the present moment. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to look at art in another form.

ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER

Feathers have been a recurring subject in Christina Tung’s artworks, which she incorporates Taoist philosophy into, to reflect her aspirations in freedom and experience in life. Having earned the title of the winning design for international luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo’s iconic Viva ballet flats, Christina broke the conventions by further developing her Feather series with the use of leather as medium. Not only does the durable and smooth nature of leather makes an unexpectedly ideal substrate, when combined with the soft nature of feathers, it also exudes a classy and sophisticated appeal.
