Reinhold Friedrich Plays Weinberg Trumpet Concerto

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Reinhold Friedrich is Principal Trumpet of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra (2003–present) and Artistic Director of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra Brass Ensemble. He serves as Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, holds honorary professorships at the London Royal Academy of Music and the Sibelius Academy, and occupies the Trumpet Chair at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. In 1986 he was awarded Second Prize at the ARD International Music Competition.

Chuang Tung-chieh is Music Director of the Bochumer Symphoniker and winner of the Malko Competition in 2015. He has conducted leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, hr-Sinfonieorchester, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Tonkünstler-Orchester, and Oslo Philharmonic.
