Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are a treasured time for couples and families to enjoy sweet and warm moments and create beloved memories! Now, after long anticipation, Hong Kong citizens can once again celebrate this special time of year together. This December, Cityplaza Ice Palace will present a series of exciting activities to help the city celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Join us for the “Cityplaza Ice Palace: Ice Night Festival”, composed of the thrilling Ice Palace Christmas Ice Show and the Ice Palace Ice-mazing Countdown Gala. Come spend a joyful evening during the festive season watching the elegant moves and consummate artistry of international champion figure skaters Ryan Bradley and Craig Thomas Heath, as well as Christy Ren, Hong Kong’s first Winter Olympian for short track speed skating. Together with the Ice Palace Skating School students, they will present a series of world-class performances on ice in a unique and extraordinary outing for fans of all ages. What’s more, on New Year’s Eve, popular Good Night Show singer mansonvibes, rising actor-singer Zeno Koo and local independent band Kowloon K will hold a music extravaganza on ice, welcoming the new year with rhythm, music and ice skating! All countdown party guests will have a chance to win over a hundred exciting prizes, including 3-day, two-night round-trip tickets for two to Taipei with accommodation, free half-year ice skating VIP passes, and free single ice-skating lessons*!
Ice Palace Christmas Ice Show
Starting on 15 December, catch world-class athletes showcasing their jumps, spins, and high-speed skating moments!
Kicking off the “Cityplaza Ice Palace: Ice Night Festival,” the Ice Palace Christmas Ice Show will ignite your passion for ice skating with a world-class demonstration of exquisite dance steps, difficult jumps, vibrant spins and high-speed skating! Cityplaza Ice Palace has invited some of the world’s top international figure skaters and speed skaters to celebrate the Christmas season with their elite students.
Come be dazzled by the elegant choreography and exquisite skills of Ryan Bradley, U.S. National Figure Skating Champion, three-time World Champion team member, and two-time ISU Grand Prix medallist; and Craig Thomas Heath, winner of five gold medals at international skating events as well as the bronze medal at the 1998 World Professional Figure Skating Championships. Feel the excitement mount higher and higher with every expertly executed leap, twirl and flourish! In addition, viewers will be treated to a high-speed appearance by Christy Ren, Hong Kong’s first Winter Olympics short track speed skating representative, who made history in the 2002 Winter Olympics “Landmark Battle”. Experience the exhilaration and passion of speed skating up close! Ice Palace Skating School students will also show off their skills with cute costumes and carefully arranged formations, adding even more happiness to the festive ambience with their joyful performances and smiling faces. Here for just two weeks only, this is definitely one of the city’s must-see Christmas performances!
