EVENT DESCRIPTION

Shi Fu Miz Festival returns to Hong Kong this October for its sixth iteration. On October 27 to October 29, the beloved boutique festival will once again settle its sound systems on Cheung Chau, a small island just 30 minutes from the boiling city by ferry. There, near the island’s idyllic golden sand beaches, four stages will unfold in the grasses of Sai Yuen Farm. This year, with the implementation of a new pillars program, a greater focus will be placed on music lifestyle, well- being, family and scenography.

Since its inception in 2016, the festival has rapidly grown and now targets an intimate audience of 5,000 over the week-end. After seeing first-hand the demand for some finest electronic music, a lack of platforms to showcase these kinds of artists, and a desire to grow the regional music scene, SFM will be back in full power in 2023 after 3 years stopped due to the Covid global situation.

In 2019, Shi Fu Miz hosted a one-day Boiler Room takeover that was broadcasted to an audience of two million. Today, the festival has now become synonymous with eclectic and forward-thinking artists who push the boundaries of electronic music in a mystical setting that evokes feelings of inclusivity and freedom.

Shi Fu Miz Festival is a music and art project created by the Hong Kong-based creative agency: FuFu and the music collective La Mamie’s from France. Their mantra is to offer a varied program of worldwide electronic music combining live music, DJ sets and original cultural activities around art in a humanized festival, where the spirit of rave and well-being is the keyword.
