A Great Cry of Love by Josiane Balasko is a must-see show! This colorful play will take you on an emotional rollercoaster with its crazy love story. Before they divorced, Hugo and Gigi were a remarkable artistic couple. Since then, Gigi has fallen into depression while Hugo, her ex-husband, is trying to restart his theater acting career. As Hugo prepares for his comeback, his partner defects. His agent has the idea of reuniting Hugo and Gigi and making it a media event. Gigi is chosen to replace her, giving her the opportunity to return to the spotlight. Still, the former lovers must accept this idea!
ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER
Founded in 1953, the Alliance Française de Hong Kong (AFHK) is a Hong Kong not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture. AFHK is the official and largest language institution for French in Hong Kong and in Asia with over 6,000 students annually. 12000 registrations a year for all ages of student !With their team of 60 qualified native French-speaking teachers, they offer a large range of courses, including specialised courses, private tuition, workshops, immersion days, outings to museums or French dining experience and more.
Enjoying the patronage and support of the French Consulate General in Hong Kong, AFHK, is the only French cultural centre in Hong Kong. It organizes major cultural events each year, such as the French Film Festival in November and takes part in numerous programs of Le French May (an initiative co-created by AFHK in 1993), Make Music Hong Kong (from 2018) and the French-Speaking Festival (Francophonie).
