Hidden Space is an independent artist-run space founded in 2017 by three Hong Kong artists, Katie Ho, Kay Mei Ling Beadman and Isabella Ng. We work with artists and curators to develop and present experimental installation and performance artwork, providing opportunities for artists to extend their practice in a non-commercial and non-institutional environment. We are hidden in a working industrial building in Kwai Hing. In 2018, we introduced the annual Hidden Space Award. This supports an artist graduating from the RMIT University and Hong Kong Art School BAFA programme. The awardee receives a solo exhibition, mentorship and curatorial support to develop their project and full venue access for one month prior to the exhibition to work in and re-articulate the space.
