BEARE’S PREMIERE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Last November, Premiere Performances of Hong Kong announced the grand finale of the historic Beare’s Premiere Music Festival, marking the conclusion of an extraordinary event that has brought international chamber music excellence to Hong Kong for eighteen years.
Returning to lead the final edition of the Beare’s Premiere Music Festival is long-time Artistic Director, acclaimed Taiwanese-American violinist Cho-Liang Lin. This special program will include international and local artists such as:
– Violinists Ning Feng, Stefan Jackiw, Yura Lee, So-Ock Kim, Angela Chan, Hannah Tam
– Violists Yura Lee, Timothy Ridout, Ting-Ru Lai
– Cellists Gary Hoffman, Li-Wei Qin
– Bassist DaXun Zhang
– Clarinettist Wenzel Fuchs
– Pianists Michael Stephen Brown, Serena Wang
– The Simply Quartet, string quartet
Highlights include four mainstage concerts at Hong Kong City Hall’s Concert Hall, featuring popular works such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Brahms’ Sextet, and Beethoven’s Archduke Piano Trio, alongside a dedicated concert by the Simply Quartet at Tai Kwun’s JC Cube and a Musical Fairytales Family Concert at City Hall Theatre.

54th HONG KONG ARTS FESTIVAL (HKAF)
27 February – 29 March 2026
Launched in 1973, this major international festival will return for its 54th edition in February, featuring more than 1,100 outstanding international and local artists in over 170 performances of more than 45 programmes, as well as about 300 “PLUS”, outreach and education events.
The 54th HKAF will open with Ballet Nacional de España—La Bella Otero, and will conclude with Dance Theatre—Dream in The Peony Pavilion. Other highlights include:
– Opera: Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin by The National Theatre Brno
– Dance: Ballet superstar Roberto Bolle in Caravaggio
– Music: Opus Klassik Awards’ Male Singer of the Year Benjamin Bernheim, joined by conductor Victor Jacob and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra
– Arts Tech: the mixed-reality piano recital Jockey Club InnoArts Series: KAGAMI by Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum
– Chinese Opera: The HKAF continues its three-year project with 300 Years of Cantonese Opera: The Transition
“No Limits” will also return, by offering barrier-free performances and events promoting inclusiveness through arts.

COLLECT HONG KONG ART FAIR

Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai
Built upon the success of the Collectible Art Fair in 2023 and Collect Hong Kong 2025, Collect Hong Kong Art Fair 2026 will be divided into four themed exhibition zones: Collectors’ Choice, Esteemed Circle, Jury’s Choice, and Collective Horizons. These innovative formats will showcase works by both renowned and rising local artists, bringing together masterpieces from the 1970s–80s alongside creations from the new generation. The fair will be curated by acclaimed art consultant Mr. Mok Wai Hong Gary. By the close of submissions on November 30, Collect Hong Kong Art Fair 2026 had already surpassed last year’s record, cementing its place as one of the most anticipated highlights of Arts Month.

The eleventh edition of Art Central will feature the curatorial leadership of Enoch Cheng and Zoie Yung, and will launch Central Stage, a platform celebrating artists who have recently received institutional recognition.
With 20% of its presentations featuring Hong Kong-based artists and galleries, and 75% representing the broader Asia Pacific region, the Fair serves as a vital platform for collectors and art enthusiasts to encounter and acquire works that embody the region’s remarkable creativity and diversity.

ART BASEL HONG KONG

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)
Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 will bring together 240 leading galleries from 41 countries and territories, reaffirming its role as a global platform rooted in the Asia-Pacific region. Over half of participating galleries operate spaces within the Asia-Pacific region, including 29 galleries with spaces in Hong Kong. First-time exhibitors include 32 galleries from Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Greater China region, Turkey, France, Georgia, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United States, reflecting a diversity of new voices from across the globe.
A brand-new sector, Echoes, will debut, spotlighting works created within the past five years in focused presentations by up to three artists. Encounters, the sector dedicated to large-scale installations, sculptures, and performances, will be curated for the first time by a collective of four Asia-based curators and led by Mami Kataoka, alongside Isabella Tam, Alia Swastika, and Hirokazu Tokuyama.

HK WALLS

HKwalls is a non-profit organisation that aims to create opportunities for local and international artists to showcase their talent in Hong Kong through street art and street culture.
HKWALLS2025 created over 80 pieces of artwork installed in the streets of Hong Kong by 43 incredible artists from all over the world.
