After a successful career in banking, Olivier Demblum joined Opera Gallery Hong Kong to manage it with the art and love of a collector. He shared with us his ambitious vision for the well-established gallery in its new premises in Central and the exhibition of the three American superstars of Pop Art, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf. He talked about the art market in Hong Kong, the challenges to run a large-scale gallery and the opportunities within the city and its latest cultural developments.
