ART021 HONG KONG CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR

ART021 is making its debut in Hong Kong, featuring 73 galleries and projects from 13 countries and regions. This Fair will span five sections: GALLERIES, VIDEOS, EXPANSION, SCULPTURE at four distinct cultural locations across the city, as well as GBA ART WEEK.

Tai Kwun’s Summer Show carves a journey through classic songs by iconic duo Joseph Koo and James Wong. Charting the rise of Cantopop and chronicling the transformation of Hong Kong from the 1970s to the 2000s, the show highlights the duo’s most beloved songs, presenting them alongside dynamic digital displays and immersive settings revealing little-known stories behind the pair’s lyrics and compositions.

SUMMER ALBUM

This exhibition celebrates the sights and spirit of Summer and bring together notable works by artists who have been exhibited at Ben Brown Fine Arts. Artists include Miquel Barceló, Yoan Capote, Awol Erizku, Damien Hirst, Vik Muniz, Nabil Nahas, José Parlá, Enoc Perez, Ena Swansea and Gert & Uwe Tobias.

CINE FAN SUMMER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2024

The Festival will kick off with two award-winners from the Cannes Film Festival – Guan Hu’s Black Dog, and Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance. It will conclude with Tales of Taipei, a diverse romantic comedy directed by nine up-and-coming filmmakers from Taiwan, Hong Kong and beyond. The festival’s line-up also includes comedies, romances, documentaries, French new wave movies, as well as workshops.

SUMMER FAMILY CINE FEST 2024

The festival offers over 50 fun-filled film screenings at the Hong Kong Film Archive, Hong Kong City Hall, the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum and the North District Town Hall. The programme is one of the highlights of the International Arts Carnival.

HK BALLET OZ LIFE JOURNEY AT AIRSIDE

Hong Kong Ballet collaborates with AIRSIDE for the first time in this immersive Arts Tech ballet experience. Participants can join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion on the yellow brick road using the latest MR and VR technology combined with real-life backdrops and neon art and interactive installations.

SUMMERFEST@CENTRAL 2024

This year’s annual SummerFest@Central event showcases for the first time five giant Inflatable Wonders designed by generative AI technology. The festival also hosts an impressive line-up of over 25 pop-up events spanning culture, music, and various other themes.

BOOKED HONG KONG ART BOOK FAIR 2024

The art book fair will once again welcome local, regional and international exhibitors from Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, as well as Japan, Korea, Indonesia, United Kingdom, United States, and elsewhere. The fair will present special displays at the intersection of art and publishing, together with a wide range of public programming such as talks, workshops, and performances.
