THE FILM MUSIC OF ALEXANDRE DESPLAT

From the quirky charm of The Grand Budapest Hotel to the enchanting depths of The Shape of Water, French composer Alexandre Desplat’s impeccable scores add a touch of magic to every film he graces. His music will be directed by Solrey, a prolific musician and artistic director of Desplat’s music.

TREVOR YEUNG: COURTYARD OF DETACHMENTS

The exhibition is an adaptation of Yeung’s solo show representing Hong Kong in a Collateral Event at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Yeung’s installations continue to examine the relationships between human and aquatic ecosystems, but now through the concept of detachment.

KOWLOON WALLED CITY: A CINEMATIC JOURNEY

Inspired by the award-winning film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, the exhibition recreates key movie scenes at the original site of the story, now Kowloon Walled City Park. New cultural landmarks and scenes such as the bustling street market have been added to authentically present the unique character of the Walled City in the 1980s.

Organised by Alliance Française de Hong Kong and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the 8th edition of the festival promises an unforgettable lineup, featuring over 30 free concerts from 5 European bands and 20 local bands. WONDERS OF IMPERIAL CARPETS: MASTERPIECES FROM THE MUSEUM OF ISLAMIC ART, DOHA

This is the first major exhibition in Hong Kong focused on the artistic achievements of Safavid Iran, Mughal India and Ottoman Türkiye, and cultural connections between Islamic and Chinese civilisations. It presents approximately 100 exquisite works, including carpets, ceramics, metalwork, manuscripts,and jades.

CHINESE CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2025: CHINA NATIONAL PEKING OPERA COMPANY

Principal artists Yu Kuizhi and Li Shengsu will lead an ensemble of outstanding Peking Opera performers in presenting three Peking Opera masterpieces. The China National Peking Opera Company is known for preserving traditions while embracing innovation.

LIU CHENG MUI: BEHOLDING

Through the lens of romantic Realism, this exhibition illustrates the passage of time, as well as a sense of spirituality shaped through the experiences of life. Liu uses the image of a horse as a spiritual symbol, indicative of the authentic, unmasked self.
