The month of November is so rich in cultural happenings that it was challenging to select eight of them. From music, contemporary dance and film festivals to classical music concerts, as well as local artists exhibitions, there will be something for everyone.

INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE EVENTS 2023
Hong Kong Culture Festival presents Intangible Cultural Heritage Mart 2023 at Tai Kwun and Intangible Cultural Heritage Night Market 2023 at Central Market to celebrate Hong Kong’s unique culture. By organising a major annual festival, the Festival aims to raise public interest and encourage participation in traditional culture.
4 & 5 November – Tai Kwun and Central Market
CHOW CHUN FAI: INTERVIEW THE INTERVIEWER
The exhibition illustrates the collaboration between local artist Chow Chun Fai and Hong Kong veteran journalist Sharon Cheung. Chow interviewed Sharon about her past experience in journalism, and the exhibition is the result of a year of discussions and research by Chow, who rearranged old news to give them new perspective through his artworks.

OH, TO BELIEVE IN ANOTHER WORLD
Hong Kong Sinfonietta is bringing for the first time in Asia renowned South African artist William Kentridge’s film to accompany Shostakovich’s monumental Symphony No 10. Two live performances will be conducted by Music Director Christoph Poppen as the closing concerts of the New Vision Arts Festival 2023.
18 & 19 November – Hong Kong City Hall
This production marks the latest creation of City Contemporary Dance Company Resident Choreographer Sang Jijia. Featuring a troupe of over 40 dancers from the company as well as graduating students of School of Dance, HKAPA, the performance invites audiences to witness the motion of dust within a captivating stage and spectating space.
11 – 17 November – The Box, Free Space, WKCD
SWIRE SYMPHONY UNDER THE STARS 2023
This popular music extravaganza will transport the audience to the captivating worlds created by legendary composers John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, and George Gershwin, as well as nostalgic moments from Hong Kong films. This evening under the stars will culminate in a fireworks finale.
18 November – Central Harbourfront Event Space
CITY CONTEMPORARY DANCE FESTIVAL 2023
Presented by City Contemporary Dance Company, the Festival will present a series of captivating dance performances and cultural exchange activities, treating local and overseas audiences and artistic peers to an unparalleled sensory feast, while exploring the new frontiers of contemporary dance.

With stage performances, exhibitions and outdoor carnival, the Festival celebrates the cultural diversity of the region, with participating countries like Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, or Vietnam.

HONG KONG JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL 2023
The Festival offers a program of over 20 films, comedies, documentaries and shorts from different countries with themes ranging from friendship to politics. The Festival offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the many facets of Jewish culture and discover connection through similarities.
