Opera Box, in partnership with HKU’s School of English, presents Hong Kong’s first “choose your own adventure” operatic experience. Based partly on Pre-Enlightenment dramatic theory, this reimagining of ‘Dido and Aeneas’ is set in a surreal playground where six singers battle for power.
Mixing myth, masque, and the music of Henry Purcell, this show grants the audience the authority of the gods. Every decision is final; every path leads to a different destiny.
