EVENT DESCRIPTION

Seven years mark the moment when objects begin to tell their stories. For Touch, 2,555 days i a journey of cultivation, where values can only shine through the repeated trials of time; some sweetness can only be savored after a long excursion. We firmly believe that true teaware is a companion that withstands the test of time: nurturing a deeper luster with each tea ceremony, it gradually unfolds a unique rhythm of life in the hands that hold it.

Since our founding, Touch has focused on accumulating those subtle yet steadfast beauties, beginning with an exhibition, a piece of art, or a kindred spirit, to gradually build a dialogue platform for contemporary teaware and ceramics. As we gently trace the milestone of our seventh anniversary, we are delighted to present nine talented ceramic artists from Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, each contributing a set of teaware worth a lifelong companionship. These pieces are a heartfelt tribute from Touch to every companion on this journey, embodying the serene strength bestowed upon us by time.

The exhibiting artists include: Huang Ting Shian, who seamlessly combines white porcelain with gold accents to create elegant and warm teaware; Wu Wei Cheng, renowned as a ceramic architect; Zhang Xi Yuan, exuding the warmth of wood-fired pottery; Shiraiwa Taisuke, based in Hokkaido and renowned for his wood-fired ash glaze works; Manami Okayasu, who meticulously applies hand-crafted glaze techniques; Kumiko Yada, known for her fresh, pastoral hand-painted on-glaze painting; Kazunori Ohnaka, an advocate of the beauty of impermanence; Takaya Fukuoka, who infuses Japanese architectural aesthetics into teaware; and Lau Yat Wai, who harmoniously blends opulence with exquisite craftsmanship.

We warmly invite you to experience the warmth forged through seven years of time, and to take home teaware that truly withstands the passage of years—allowing it to continue nurturing a beautiful story in your life.
