EVENT DESCRIPTION

13a New Street Art Gallery, in collaboration with VITA LIVING GALLERY, proudly presents “Vita Art +” until 13th April, featuring over 21 works of art. This exhibition brings together seven local and international artists, showcasing the perfect fusion of art and life, allowing audiences to experience the depth and beauty of art amidst the bustling city.

The participating artists include SurrealHK, who showcases Hong Kong’s uniqueness with a humorous approach. His personal platform boasts nearly 196,000 followers, blending current events with surrealism to create a fresh visual experience. New York artist Mr. Likey employs a “painting within a painting” technique to explore unique worldviews in different contexts, prompting audiences to contemplate deeper meanings while appreciating beauty. From the Philippines, Distort Monsters injects his own stories and emotions into each piece, using monster characters to capture fleeting inspirations and convey inner release and healing. His works are not only artistic expressions but also fragments of his life, reminding us to seek our own peace amidst the noise. Candy Mary captivates countless viewers with his sweet and playful style. Through the metaphor of tea, his works examine the subtleties of interpersonal relationships, encouraging reflection on the essence of life.

YSK_Quality comes from a traditional Japanese artisan family, specializing in “Yosegi.” With an eco-friendly philosophy, he transforms old skateboards into artworks, showcasing a subtle yet rich aesthetic. This artist pursues perfection with a craftsman spirit, infusing each piece with stories and emotions. Joyce Lung, through her ceramic works, critiques modern society’s harsh aesthetic demands on women, skillfully incorporating fashion elements to highlight both their resilience and fragility. Finally, Emily Au, of Chinese-Canadian descent, integrates her cultural background into her work, expressing deep transformation through raw meat imagery. Her art challenges the traditional boundaries of ceramics, intertwining authenticity with playfulness. “Vita Art +” is not only an artistic feast but also a spiritual cleansing. In this art-filled month, let us explore the creations of these artists together and experience how art enriches life and elevates our pursuit of beauty.
