The 2nd Hong Kong International Shakespeare Festival
5 June - 21 June
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Presented by Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio, the Hong Kong International Shakespeare Festival (HKISF) is Hong Kong’s first international performing arts platform dedicated to Shakespeare’s works.
In June 2024, the Studio successfully launched the inaugural HKISF, featuring five Shakespeare productions. For the 2nd Hong Kong International Shakespeare Festival, it has significantly expanded in scale, presenting ten distinctive contemporary interpretations of Shakespeare’s plays. It brings together renowned theatre companies and artists from Hong Kong and around the world, fostering cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary dialogue while enriching Hong Kong’s cultural landscape and creative vitality.
