[Online Lecture] Photography and Literature

16 July 2022 - 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Elements of photography and literature are interwoven, yet they are not the same. What kind of intertextual relationship would spark between the two art forms? The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) of the University of Hong Kong has recently published “Adrift in Time”, that presents the works of Hong Kong photographer Chun Wai, in which the unique poetics of time are outlined with fragmented images. Readers are invited to slowly immerse in a thoughtful space with images and texts delivering borderless tranquillity.

UMAG is honoured to hold a talk on 16 July on “Photography and Literature” with the author Mr Chun Wai and poet Mr Liu Wai Tong discussing the creative relationship between images and poetics. All are welcome.
