About Event
The event will play three video poetries about memory, time and trains, using images instead of words to write about the different states of memory and time. Memories are like a train passing by in the mind, and the time carried by a train flows quickly.

Cheungin will also share the collection of poems ‘AGGREGATES’, which is a handmade stitch binding book, connecting 55 poems about individuals, the land, and Hong Kong with double-sided hand-stitched images.

The works will be displayed in the following two days (16-17 Jan 2023, 8 pm) at Lemna bar area.

About Kate Cheung
Cheungin (Kate Cheung) is a multimedia artist based in Hong Kong, who focuses on textile art, poetry art, poems writing, and film making. She received her Bachelor of Arts from School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. She also studied abroad at Taipei National University of the Arts in the Department of Filmmaking. Her works explore the possibility of poetry through extended use of textile, visual, intermedia techniques, such as poetic-narrative film and moving-images.

Cheungin is one of the selected artists in the 4th BOOKED: Hong Kong Art Book Fair, which was organized by Tai Kwun Contemporary with her first self-published handmade stitch binding poem ‘AGGREGATES’. She was also officially selected by the 4th Hong Kong Book Art Festival TRACE BACK IN WORDS with the mini art book ‘Sunless’.
