This October, Musica Viva introduces a bold new approach to premiere Lucia di Lammermoor, running from December 12 until December 14. A series of pop-up performances in Central’s iconic venues will offer audiences a preview of Donizetti’s emotionally charged masterpiece in unexpected, stylish settings—culminating in the full production at Hong Kong City Hall.
Musica Viva’s soprano will perform live at SPIGA. Set against the restaurant’s cinematic 1950s-inspired décor, guests will be immersed in three arias celebrating Donizetti’s heroines, as the outdoor terrace transforms into a stage for some of his most iconic music. These twilight performances, beginning at 7PM, invite guests to experience the emotional intensity of opera while enjoying Italian snacks and drinks in a relaxed, social setting.

Each aria—portraying strength, wit, and vulnerability—is paired with a bespoke tasting menu by Chef Pasquale, under the Michelin-starred direction of Enrico Bartolini, blending music, storytelling, and Italian culinary artistry.
