In an effort to promote music appreciation and wellness to the community, Musica del Cuore (Music of the Heart), a music project under Champion REIT, has presented over 200 free concerts at its premium property Three Garden Road since 2015. Highly potential individual instrumentalists and dynamic vocalists have been invited to bring artistic atmosphere of the highest level to the bustling Central business district.

In addition to providing audiences with monthly musical moments away from stress, the concert series also serves as a unique platform for young local talents, allowing them to gain valuable experience through close interaction and communication with the public. Renowned names in the classical field, including pianist Rachel Cheung and Chiyan Wong, world harmonica champion Gordon Lee, violinists Wang Liang and Gui Li, have been among the line-up before launching their major debuts or making international records.

Season 2024: Innovative ideas ignite new sparks across generations

With the arrival of the new year in 2024, Musica del Cuore concert series embarks on a new chapter. This season, themed “ATTACCA”, brings a total of 13 concerts, aiming to explore the chemistry between generations of players and composers. Seasoned musicians with rich international experiences and rising stars with about 20 years of “professional gap” would share the stage, showcasing a dynamic display of musical personalities and languages. 

Unprecedent line-up of legendary veterans working with the most promising rising stars

The cross-generational ensemble performances in multiple concerts provide valuable opportunities for intergenerational exchange. Technical competence, stylistic interpretation, as well as mental and physical endurance, creativity and courage, would all be testified. As for the line-up of legendary veterans, we are honored to invite renowned musicians from the local and international scene, including Hong Kong’s esteemed pianist Dr. Mary Wu, Russian cellist Dr. Artem Konstantinov, renowned tenor Chen Yong, soprano Joyce Wong and more. As for the younger generation of musicians, we will be entrusting several young faces, including piano prodigy Peter Leung, young virtuoso pianist Alex Pak-yu Kwok, as well as opera talents handpicked among graduates of prestigious music academies. Other exciting performances include the balalaika – a plucked string instrument – recital in February, and a special performance in June by acclaimed Korean pianist Han Chi-Ho, who previously delighted audiences at the Musica del Cuore in 2015. Han Chi-ho will also be giving a masterclass to share his skills and insights with music lovers.
