Touch Gallery is pleased to announce their collaboration with 10 artists, for the exhibition Microcosm in the Palm III, held from August 2nd to August 30th 2025.
Each vessel represents a cosmos distilled from an artist’s lifetime of dedication. Ryoko Tsukirimichi employs the ancient Core-forming method (dating to 15th century BCE) to create glass vessels radiating sacred purity, synthesizing medieval European and Eastern worldviews. Matsushita Takafumi draws from childhood memories to capture botanical vitality in three-dimensional transparency. Collaborating with Touch for the first time, Mamoru Uchida—a pioneer who introduced Venetian lace glass techniques to Japan—astounds with filigree patterns and chromatic richness. Meanwhile, Isao Uemae constructs visionary glass sculptures through cutting-edge joining methods, embedding mineral textures and controlled bubbles to stimulate multisensory contemplation.
The gallery reveals Maimi Tsurubayashi’s glassworks where precise faceting manipulates light into chromatic symphonies. Kosei Fujikawa’s sterling silver vessels exemplify the weighty elegance of traditional Japanese metalcraft through minimalist silhouettes. Tomomi Kamoshita’s revolutionary “yobitsugi” transforms breakage into bold new aesthetic grammar, while Chiemi Takaki’s Kutani porcelain reinvents heritage with gold-traced floral narratives. Mio Kosaka’s proprietary flowing foam glass technique—developed over a decade—encapsulates ethereal bubble formations in permanent suspension. Yusuke Kamikubo’s ceramic robots demonstrate masterful synthesis of whimsy and functionality through expert hand-building.
