Live Music Performance

Yoyo Sham

Producer, songwriter, and singer Yoyo Sham possesses a voice that is effortlessly cool yet packed with raw, unfiltered emotion. She sings with a unique tone, bringing to life the emotions and experiences she conveys through her music.

Her debut album, Here, was nominated for Best New Artist at the 26th Golden Melody Awards and the Overseas Creative Music Award at the Sixth Golden Indie Music Awards. Her second studio album, Nothing is Under Control, further cemented her artistic stature, receiving widespread acclaim as one of the ’Top Ten Albums of the Year’, ‘Twelve Must-Listen Chinese Albums of the Year’, and ‘Top Local Albums – No. 1 Choice’ across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The album also earned nominations for Best Mandarin Female Singer and Best Album Producer at the 30th Golden Melody Awards.

Her song Fly, featured in a film, won Best Original Film Song at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards. In May 2022, she released the Cantonese EP Home is… and sold out four solo concerts in Hong Kong, drawing over 10,000 attendees. Additionally, her song Come What May was honoured as one of the ‘Top Ten Songs of the Year’ on Hong Kong’s Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation.

Xiaolin

Xiaolin is a DJ, producer, vinyl collector and classically trained musician from Hong Kong. Driven by a relentless curiosity for warm sounds, complex emotions, and colourful textures, she enjoys crafting magnetic sets that draw audiences into a patiently unfolding journey, while her live ambient sets reveal the more contemplative side of her natural musicality as a former concert violinist.

Inspired by sounds from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s, her love for video games, anime, and nature, as well as a respect for her Cantonese roots, Xiaolin’s analogue synth-heavy productions range from gritty acid house and breaks with earthy percussion to tripped-out electro, shimmering techno and raw downtempo ambiance that invoke deeper feelings of romantic adventure with a dreamy, theatrical touch.

Her original live set has three formats: ‘Sun’ for daytime settings, ‘Moon’ for meditative settings and ‘Body’ for nightclub settings.

Established in 2021, Swing Pocket is a swing dance group dedicated to preserving the legacy of this vibrant social dance, which originated in the African American community in New York. The group aspires to celebrate and promote the dance’s party culture, social values, and its spirit of individuality and self-expression through modern languages and collaborating across various artistic and business disciplines.
