Lingnan Colour: Collaborative Paintings by Jao Tsung-I and the Four Masters of Lingnan

Located in Lai Chi Kok, Jao Tsung-I Academy (‘JTIA’) is celebrating its 10th anniversary. With the support of the Simon Suen Foundation, JTIA has renovated its gallery and will co-host the exhibition, “Lingnan Colour: Collaborative Paintings by Jao Tsung-I and the Four Masters of Lingnan” with the Sun Museum.

Supported by the Simon Suen Foundation and co-hosted by Jao Tsung-I Academy and the Sun Museum, “Lingnan Colour: Collaborative Paintings by Jao Tsung-I and the Four Masters of Lingnan” is the inaugural exhibition after the gallery renovation. It features 42 traditional Chinese paintings jointly created by Professor Jao Tsung-i and the legendary four masters of the Lingnan school of painting: Zhao Shao-ang, Li Xiong-cai, Guan Shan-yue, and Yang Shan-sum. Collaborative paintings are rare in the modern art scene. These five masters have passed away, making this collection not only a record of the intellectual exchanges among literati in the past but also treasures with significant historical, artistic, and educational value.
