L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific, School of Jewelry Arts, is pleased to announce an enchanting public event, inviting visitors to explore the beauty in the multifaceted world of jewelry. This event features a series of exclusive experiences, including the opportunity to explore the “An Eye for Beauty: The Illuminata Jewelry Collection” exhibition and various jewelry course demonstrations. Visitors will be immersed in a well-rounded world of beauty from various angles.

On Saturday, February 3, L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific will host the School’s iconic Open House at the K11 MUSEA campus, where visitors will delve into different interpretations of beauty during the one-hour Open House guided tour. The event will include a walkthrough of the latest exhibition, offering visitors a captivating journey through the discerning eyes of the collector. As they traverse the exhibition, they will witness a beautiful local private collection of jewelry spanning from the 18th century to the modern day. Visitors will also be able to gain a profound understanding and appreciation of beauty through the demonstrations of the School’s jewelry art courses across three pillars: Savoir-Faire (craftsmanship), Art History of Jewelry, and The World of Gemstones.

During the tour, a variety of topics will be demonstrated. Visitors will be guided by the School’s art historians to explore the captivating world of jewelry across different eras, learning from “A History of Jewelry, from Louis XIV to Art Deco” jewelry style in the Art History Classroom. They can discover expressions of beauty through designs and gouache paintings and witness the creation through firsthand experiences that encapsulate the beauty essence by experiencing “From Design to Mock-up” in the Design Studio and Atelier classroom. Gemology enthusiasts will be delighted by the dedicated “Recognize the Gemstone” session, observing the captivating beauty of colored gemstones, and gaining insights into their unique characteristics through immersive displays and interactive demonstrations.

Not only does L’ÉCOLE welcome adult visitors, but it also has provisions for younger ones, providing a new interactive booklet and audio guide for kids, available in both Cantonese and English. These offerings aim to introduce the world of jewelry to young visitors in an entertaining and educational manner.

Interested individuals are encouraged to make reservations online in advance. The Open House will take place on February 3, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with guided tours available in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. The final tour will commence at 6:00 PM.
