The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong proudly announces the return of Korea Square for its fifth edition, taking place on 11–12 October 2025 at PMQ Courtyard & Marketplace. This year celebrates Korea’s hosting of the APEC 2025 Summit and shines a spotlight on the historic city of Gyeongju, bringing visitors an immersive blend of tradition, innovation and hands-on experiences.
Korea Square 2025 Festival Weekend invites everyone to immerse themselves in Korean culture with exciting performances and a bustling marketplace. Over two full days, visitors can try on Hanbok, sample authentic foods and drinks, join creative workshops, enjoy interactive games, watch live music and dance shows and take part in family-friendly activities. This festival weekend truly offers everything Korean in one place.
Cultural Experiences and Culinary Delights
Visitors can explore the MU:DS & APEC Gyeongju Booth featuring exquisite Korean museum items (“MU:DS”) that showcase the beauty of Korea. The Hanbok Experience returns, giving everyone a chance to dress up in colourful Hanbok. K-Food lovers can savour juicy K-beef burgers from the Hanwoo Association, alongside aT Centre’s sweet popping Korean grapes. Famous K-Food restaurants like Han Ah Rum/Hanmat, Samsic, Puradak and Mapo will feature juicy K-Food treats seen in KPOP Demon Hunters. Fermentation Heaven will offer tastings of traditional Korean liquor such as makgeolli. The Korea Tourism Organization will provide personal colour testing and travel information to help visitors plan their next trip to Korea.
Technology Highlights
Major brands Samsung and LG will integrate their state-of-the-art devices and appliances throughout the event, and visitors may encounter surprises and promotions around the venue for an added element of discovery.
Stage Program and Special Events
The stage at PMQ will feature a vibrant line-up, including an interactive Random Dance Party with GoToe, a celebrated YouTuber dancer with two million subscribers bringing K-POP energy to the courtyard. For film lovers, there will be the Hong Kong premiere of Pororo: Underwater Adventure in association with HKAFF for families and children, and even more. High-energy taekwondo demonstrations and K-POP community performances will keep the festival atmosphere alive all weekend. Visitors can also join a special butternut squash kimchi (hobakji) workshop with renowned Korean Chef Kim Jiyoung from Daejangeum, and participate in daily K-Quiz Golden Bell sessions with MU:DS prizes. Community Marketplace and Workshops
There are more surprises in the Community Marketplace: Creative workshops including Button Photobooth offer custom photo cards, Wild Apple Studio & Sunset Lab, 1Roof and Korean Bojagi Art will host special craft sessions with Korean themes. Heroes of Korea and MyMasters will present Korean hero-themed perfume, and K-craft items. In the KOTRA Marketplace, KOTRA-affiliated vendors will showcase premium Korean packaged food, home, beauty and pet goods, offered by vendors including Gosu Holdings, Hea Summer Company Limited, Homesik Co., Ltd. and Markwill Solutions. Visitors can also try traditional games like archery and ddakji to test their skills.
