kathā: on queerness in Indian mythology

5 July - 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Discover queerness in ancient Indian myths! It isn’t just a Western concept.

Queerness is often seen as a western ideology, and criticized in ethnic cultures based on this assumption. But history and mythology provide an irrefutable truth that queerness has existed long before modernisation. This interactive exhibit will uncover queerness in ancient Indian mythology, and provide a space for discussions about queerness in modern days.

Talk will be conducted in English
