The essence of life lies in its constant flux, with impermanence being an unavoidable reality. This exhibition explores the emotional journey individuals undergo, in confronting impermanence—beginning with initial resistance and helplessness, transitioning into stages of experience and adaptation, and ultimately arriving at a state of tranquility.
Through his artistic creations, Jim seeks to convey that although impermanence is inevitable, we hold the power to embrace it with a mindful attitude. By learning to coexist with these changes, life transforms into a journey brimming with possibilities.
ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER
Jim Chan, born in Hong Kong, is a toy designer and multimedia artist with expertise spanning art toy creation, painting, and graphic design. Early in his career, he primarily focused on illustration, since 2016, he has integrated this art with vinyl toys. His works have gained widespread acclaimation across Asia. Jim's creations are deeply intertwined with contemporary culture and lifestyle aesthetics, often leading to collaborations with trend-driven brands such as Salomon, HUF, and #FR2. In recent years, Jim has placed greater emphasis on painting, adopting a sleek style that weaves elements of leisurely living into his work. Through his art, he seeks to inspire an appreciation for the serene beauty within everyday life.
