EVENT DESCRIPTION

Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition is a new programme to nurture young artists. Sponsored by Simon Suen Foundation and co-organised by Jao Tsung-I Academy and Sun Museum, the exhibition aims at providing a free platform for young Hong Kong artists to showcase their artistic direction and achievements to the general public, helping to cultivate them into elites of the art world. The programme inherits the philosophy of reviving Chinese culture from Professor Jao Tsung-i, master of traditional Chinese studies, by encouraging participating artists to revitalise the spirit of Chinese art.

After a comprehensive three-month process of public recruitment, selection, and preparation, 6 exceptional Hong Kong artists under the age of 40 have been chosen to participate in the “Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition”. The selection criteria for this exhibition include participants’ creativity, mastery of techniques, and the embodiment of Chinese cultural and artistic elements in their works. Despite their diverse artistic backgrounds, media and styles, these artists share an unwavering commitment to their art:
