Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition – Part II
29 November 2024 - 30 March 2025
FreeEVENT DESCRIPTION
Sponsored by Simon Suen Foundation and co-organised by Jao Tsung-I Academy and Sun Museum, the second phase of “Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition” is unveiled on 28 November 2024. It showcases a total of 39 unpublished recent art pieces by five artists and will run from 29 November 2024, to 30 March 2024.
“Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition” aims to provide a free platform for young Hong Kong artists to showcase their artistic direction and achievements to the general public. It inherits the philosophy of reviving Chinese culture from Professor Jao Tsung-i, Master of Chinese Studies, by encouraging participating artists to revitalise the spirit of Chinese art. The selection criteria for this exhibition include participants’ creativity, mastery of techniques, and the embodiment of Chinese cultural and artistic elements in their works. After a comprehensive process of public recruitment, selection, and preparation, five exceptional Hong Kong artists under the age of 40 have been chosen to participate in the second phase of “Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition”. They are Chau Sau Lan, Chan Chi Man, Chan Hei Nam, Raina, Liu Xin, Lucy and Rainbow Tse (RAINB.W). Despite the different backgrounds of five young artists, their commitment and passion for art are touching. They avail their spare time to create fascinating artworks, constantly challenging and breaking through themselves in art.
