BUSONIIndian Fantasy, for Piano and Orchestra
DVOŘÁKSymphony no. 9, From the New World
Some classics are popular for a good reason – and Dvorak’s symphony “From the New World” sounds as fresh, as stirring and as gloriously tuneful today as when it was first heard, 130 years ago in New York. Guest conductor Krzysztof Urbański brings an energy that’s all his own: sparks will fly when he shares a vibrant modern classic from his native Poland, and joins Hong Kong-born piano phenomenon Chiyan Wong in Busoni’s lush Indian Fantasy.

The concert runs approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with an intermission.
Please note latecomers will miss the first piece of the repertoire, and the audience is advised to allow enough time for admission.
